 Located in
the Historic District of Waxhaw, NC is a bike shop that you'll find is a bit different from the rest. Waxhaw has some of the best road riding on the outskirts
of Charlotte and Cane Creek nearby for mountain biking. Will Bolt originally moved out to Waxhaw for just that personally. He opened Bolt Brothers Cycles in
August 2004 with plans to "wrench on some bikes in his spare time." In the beginning it was not uncommon to walk in the small shop and see Will with his then 18 month
old daughter, Christine, in a backpack while he worked on a bike. So what are we about? Well, the simple answer is cycling. Will has been in the industry for over
twenty years and he loves cycling. The same goes for his brother Mark, whom had a major role in getting the shop on its feet. Over the years both have competed
and worked in the industry at various levels. For obvious reasons, having your own business can change the way you approach things but on a most fundamental
level it's about the ride. Will believes that life is a bit happier when you're on a set of wheels. He doesn't care where the wheels came from or how much they cost.
He cares about your experience and what cycling can add to your life.
 If what you expect from a bike shop is to walk in and be approached by one
of a dozen employees who jump right on what you need and get you on your way, our bike shop may not be the one for you. We don't have a large staff, but the
staff we have fits the feel of the place. It's an experience. Sometimes you may have to wait, but it's a chance to slow down. Stop for a while and talk with some
of our patrons. You can meet some pretty amazing people, hear some great stories and get the scoop on a ride. You can even stroll down the road and check
out an antique shop or two or grab a great lunch and ice cream.
 What can you expect while you're here? You can expect our devotion to making your experience with cycling everything it can be. We don't want to just sell you
